Chinese Navy

The Chinese Navy, officially known as the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), is the largest naval force in the world by fleet size, with a focus on power projection, carrier operations, and advanced missile warfare. Rapid shipbuilding, modernization, and technological advancements have transformed it into a formidable maritime power, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region. With a growing carrier fleet, stealth warships, and advanced submarines, the PLAN is a central component of China’s military expansion.

The Fujian is China’s most advanced aircraft carrier, featuring an electromagnetic catapult launch system (EMALS) similar to the U.S. Navy’s Ford-class carriers. This system allows it to launch heavier aircraft with greater range and payload, significantly enhancing China’s naval aviation capabilities. As China’s first modern supercarrier, the Fujian represents a major leap in power projection and blue-water operations.

The Type 055 is one of the most advanced and heavily armed destroyers in the world, functioning as a multi-role warship for fleet defense and long-range strikes. It is equipped with a powerful radar system and a large vertical launch system (VLS) that can fire anti-air, anti-ship, and land-attack missiles. With its stealthy design and cutting-edge technology, it serves as the backbone of China’s modern naval strike groups.
